The jump
Forty five seconds that rearrange your week
You will be strapped to the front of an instructor who has done this more times than they can count. They handle the exit, the freefall, the canopy and the landing. Your job is to arch your back and keep your eyes open.
The aircraft climbs for about twenty five minutes over Phewa Lake. The door opens at twelve thousand feet. From there it is forty five seconds of freefall at around two hundred kilometres an hour, then six quiet minutes under the parachute with the whole Annapurna range in front of you.
Almost everyone says the same thing afterwards: it is nothing like they expected, and they want to go again.

What to wear
- Trainers with laces. Never sandals or slip ons.
- Comfortable trousers you can move and sit in.
- A light layer. It is around fifteen degrees colder at altitude.
- Leave loose jewellery and watches at the hotel.
- Glasses are fine. We give you goggles that fit over them.
